The Krause Center for Innovation's Merit (formerly Earn While You Learn) and KCI Merit Fellows Institutes provide K-14 teachers with the opportunity to engage in yearlong technology integration staff development. Participants are chosen through a competitive application and must complete 2 units of FastTech/LINC classes prior to applying. Participating teachers receive $4000 and various hardware/software tools. The KCI Merit summer institute for the Foothill location is from July 7-25, 2008. of the Merit program with the opportunity to use the Internet ,PDAs , iPods, and other innovative technologies to do collaborative, multi-classroom projects with their students.
